10-22-14 – Military Press

I did heavy sets of 5s on military press today. Its been a while since I have anything heavy with these and it was nice to see how much I have progressed. I focused on trying to keep my elbows under or in front of the bar. I found it hard to regulate my breath after the second breath, so I tried to slow it down a bit to prevent passing out. I worked my way up to 130 going by 5 pound increases each time. For the last set I tried to go to 135 but I was too fatigued and decided to shut it down after the first rep. One thing I feel that helped me was focusing on pushing my head through at the top and keeping my core tight to keep me stable during the lift.
