11-12-14 – Lots & Lots of Floor Presses

Working on floor press today and I decided to do as many sets as possible so when the weight started to get heavy I started going up by 5 pound increments. Not being able to lock my legs in and push my heels towards the ground takes a lot of power away and I could tell I was still trying to do it because both legs cramped up during one of my sets! Slowly working my way up took a long time but I could feel it working my a lot better and felt more comfortable because I could hardly tell the weight was getting heavier since it was small increases. After reviewing the video I noticed some of the sets looked high but I think that was because I was only going down to where my triceps touched and then I was shooting up. Overall I think I need to focus a lot more when the weight start gets heavy because I didn’t feel in the right mindset while lifting since I was talking to people in the gym in between sets.
