2-26-14 – Bench Press, AMAP & Supersets

Just like the day before, I spent the entire day in school and at home before heading into the gym mentally preparing myself for my first bench AMAP in several weeks. This time, my ravage didn’t really have an effect on my stomach, so I was feeling really good the entire time. Warmups and working sets all felt very light. When it came time for my final set, the AMAP, I decided I would try wearing wrist wraps. I was very skeptical about wearing them because at the meet just 3 weeks ago, I wore wrist wraps on my final set of 170 and failed because they were too tight. But, I put them on anyway. The right one was too tight, and it seriously affected my AMAP. I was expecting to have roughly 10 or 11 reps, but only made 8. Overall, they did help me a lot and I plan on using them a lot more often. Just like the day before, Jesse and I hurried through our workout, super setting everything, but still getting it done strongly and efficiently.
