3-25-14 – Extra Work with the SS Yoke Bar

I decided to change it on the squats and yoke bar squats for 6 sets of 2. My reasoning for only doing reps was to work on my speed and put more focus on my quads and core. I also count the bar as a 45lbs and not a 65 lbs bar.  I kept my warm-ups the same as I would with my regular squats and stayed at 245 for all my working sets. Another thing to notice in the video is that I’m walking out with the weight, which I rarely do because I’m usually working with the Monolift.  I felt that I was explosive and fast on all my sets. Though towards the end fatigue starts to kick in, and it felt that I was getting a bit slower on some of my last sets. Though at the end of it all, not a bad day of yoke bar squatting.
