3-28-14 – Deadlifts

Fast, Fast, Fast is what today all was about. When it comes to deadlifts I try to be explosive and fast while still keeping good technique. The faster I am off the ground the better it will be as I finish the movement.  I chose 335 throughout the 6 sets that I did, and the weight was not too challenging, but it was enough for me to have resistance. I felt really explosive off the ground, but my sticking point is still at my knees, which is where I begin to slow down. I have been doing good morning’s to work on my hamstring and lower back strength as well as my core.  Also, I keep snatch a regular accessory after my deadlifts because they help not only my grip strength but also it helps my upper back stay straight, while also allowing me to work on my hip mobility. Over all today felt good, and I felt strong on all my sets.
