4-14-14 – Floor Press w/ Chains
I started the week off right by being under the bar with heavy weight loaded on it. Floor press has been a challenge to me recently. It doesn’t allow me to use any leg drive and I find it difficult to squeeze my back as I am bring the bar down. I added chains to the bar to allow me to use more force to lock out the lift. I focused on pulling the bar apart during my lift to help engage my lats. This allows for a more efficient lift. Everything went well as the weight started climbing. I was able to push for a personal record, 385 not counting the chains. My accessories were done in a circuit to maximize my time. It was a great day under the bar.
