5-18-14 – Heavy Bench w/ Fat Grips
My lovely wife, Gina, and I trained after business hours so we could have time to focus on what we had to do. Things were just not going right for me. I was low on energy, focus was not as sharp as usual, and the weight was feeling very heavy. Feeling very agitated I managed to bench a PR of 370lbs w/ Fat grips. My previous PR was 365lbs. Progress is still progress. I let outside stress get the best of me during my session. I should know better. Next time there will be more attention given to the task at hand.
To take my mind off of things, Gina and I went to our spot in the city that inspires us to be great. We went to the lake front in Chicago, by the planetarium, only a few minutes away from our house. This is, in my opinion, the best view of the city. Going there is very motivating. This is one of the few places where I am at peace. Being there I can’t help but to think of success. Tall buildings, big companies, business people. It is just a beautiful view and I am glad my wife was there by my side to further motivate me.
