5-28-14 – ME Reverse Band Squats & Bands Will Make Her Dance

Form. Form. Form. I mean, I’ve definitely seen worse, but my last max single was UGLY!!! I used the red bands today for reverse (assistance) bands for the first time. It was so weird trying to get set up under the bar for warm ups until I got to a plate. Then I felt like I could actually get deep. I finished with a SUPER ugly 225, but I fought through it and got it up. Felt good having 2 plates on my back for the first time. I did a TON of sets, as you’ll see below, so I think I was also just fatigued by that last one. My down set wasn’t perfect either, but I got it done. The biggest thing I can see that I need to improve on is keeping my knees out, so hello glute and ham work! Accessories went well. The zombie steps killed like always. I don’t care what people say about band work… that shit works and hurts!! Killed my abs at the end too.
