5-30-14 – DE Upper Body
Three by three of all three grips! Moved up the weight a little from last week, everything felt great! I got good leg drive for every rep this session. Today was my first time doing Meadows rows and pistol raises, so those were fun……..not! They weren’t that bad, actually. Just something new.
On a side note, we had a friend of ours come in today who usually trains elsewhere due to his demanding work schedule. It’s really amazing how you can see someone struggle with a weight, then have someone coach him on his form and technique, fix it, and come back and smash that same weight a few minutes later. All it takes is an extra pair of experienced eyes and keeping your ears open, then applying the directions given. Like he explained afterwards, he never really has anyone watching him, as he usually trains by himself. I don’t think most even realize what they’re capable of if they just cleaned up their form/technique a bit. I’m really happy that we can provide this to people when they come to HPF. It’s a learning experience here, and always will be.
