5-7-14 – Speed Squats

Today’s session was a short but very beneficial training session. I decided to not wear a belt on my squats and deadlifts to help improve the strength in my lower back. I was able to keep my torso very stable my inhaling deeply while pushing out and bracing my abs as tight as I could. Since the main focus of today’s session was speed, I applied as much force as I possibly could with each rep. The weight moved up with great speed on every rep. After my squats and deadlifts, I worked on the necessary accessories to strength my supplementary and main lifts. Today was a great session!
