6-17-14 – Bench Press

Today was my second cycle, second week for 5/3/1. In my last log I explained that I learned the importance of breathing and bracing. Meaning utilizing my breath, to push my stomach out and tighten my abs which transfers over to stability for my back and whole upper body in general.  I used this technique for my bench today. HUGE DIFFERENCE.  You can see the difference.  In the last set you can see that 285 moved almost as quick as my first set. I for see a PR next week if all goes well.
