6-3-14 – Deadlifts & Bloody Shins

Today was the end of my first 5/3/1 cycle for deadlifts. All I could think about all day was the last set I had to do which was to be as many as possible (AMAP).  I was more than ready. It was going to be a big challenge considering I just started deadlifting a few months ago and never attempted an AMAP for them. I ended up ending with 360, which is 85% of my training max. I did 15 reps. I had 5 or so left in the tank but decided to stop because I felt my back doing the work the last two reps. Better safe than sorry.

Band Good Mornings

3 x 20 (I put a foam roller against a wall and use my body weight)
I skipped back raises because my low back was feeling cashed after my last set of deadlifts
