8-6-14 – Max Effort Bench w/ Fat Grips

Max effort close grip bench with fat grips. Today was difficult but that’s what made it awesome! I started out benching and made big jumps in the beginning and slowly decreased the jumps as I got higher in weight. I finished up with 200 for a single and then took a drop set of 160 for 7. I believe what helped me the most today was focusing on one point in the ceiling rather than picking my head up and looking at the weight, pushing my heals towards the ground, and Mike right behind me coaching me through the whole way.
