8-18-14 – Bench Training

Monday night bench training went extremely well and for the most part I had an awesome training session. First week of my bench cycle consisted of 3 sets of 5 reps. My first set was 145 for 5, then 165 for 5, then finally 190 for 5. Every set felt strong and the weight felt light. My grip on bench has changed and has gone from a thumb away from the inner ring to my pointer finger being on the outside ring. I feel that I can engage my lats more throughout the movement and stay a lot tighter through the entire set.
