8-26-14 – Squats & More Squats!

Squat night was a complete success tonight. Every set felt strong, explosive and light! I’ve been adding more sets and going lighter and also going beltless. Today, I decided to go with pause squats for sets of 5 to build my explosiveness out of the hole. After my last working set of 5 I decided to go 275 for double, also paused. This set felt real good so I decided to go 315 for a single, but also decided to put on the belt (safety first). I hit 315 with a slight pause at the bottom which came up pretty easy after all the previous sets. This was also the first time in 3 months that I even had 3 plates on the bar.
