12-9-13 – Bench Press

Today I was a great session! My mindset, my strength and energy level was on point. Not only did the weights move the way I wanted them to, I also puked. This is should not ever be anyone’s goal when they train but it does happen. My bench press felt solid. I was able to keep my back tight because as I am bringing the bar down to my chest I am trying to tear the bar apart. This helps keep my lats engaged during the movement. The environment at HPF was really good. We had some guys in there who push to be their best day in and day out. Having them train hard right next to me pushed me to push myself even harder. Great session today!
