2-20-14 – Bench Press

Had a very speedy bench session with Danny today. Since he’s a working man now sometimes it cuts into regular gym time but we will always find time to fit the gym in and we will never skip days. My working sets felt pretty solid today the weight wasn’t to hard and didn’t need any assistance from my spotter. I started off with 140×3 which was a breeze even with a slight pause on my chest. Next up was 160×3 which came up strong and I was able to keep my form all the way through. The next set of 180×3 gave some resistance but I was able to finish strong. After watching the videos, Danny and I noticed that my elbows flared out a lot during my last set so keeping them in will be something to work on in my future training sessions. That’s one of the many perks of having a training partner that knows what’s he’s doing so he can correct your form and keep you motivated to improve in everything that you do. The speed at which we went through the rest of the workout was something that we weren’t use too but it was close to closing time and we don’t like to keep the HPF family waiting since they already do so much for us.
