11-13-13 – Deadlifts
Today was an early morning session. As I heard the 4:30am alarm go off I knew it would be easy to just turn it off and go to bed. I then thought to myself that you can’t accomplish your goals by taking the easy way out. I got myself out of my warm bed and ready to train. I knew that just getting out of bed was going to be the hardest part of the day. Once out of bed I am excited to get to HPF!
I got to the gym with coffee in hand and turned on the stereo. This is my time I have for myself so I wanted to be in a relaxed environment. I made sure the music wasn’t too loud. I know blasphemy right?! After foam rolling and warming up I felt ready to get to work. My warm up sets were feeling good. I am learning to keep my weight in the back of my feet better. There is a rep where I almost fell back because I was pushing so hard to keep my weight back. My grip on the last set was not strong at all. I felt it loosen up as soon as I started to lift the bar. This is going to be something I will work on in the future. Besides the last set everything went well. I felt strong and my form is improving.
