1-19-14 – Squat: Quads on FIRE!

We close at 4pm on Sundays, so my husband and I waited until then to start training. I’m excited to start a new cycle so I can track my progress. I’m box squatting for this cycle. Today’s session felt good. Had to keep reminding myself to sit up, back straight, and keep my hips more under the bar. I tend to over-arch my back quite a bit, to the point that I’m bending over, putting my chest forward before and more than I sit my butt back and down. Coach and I fixed that within one set. Everything else felt great. The split leg squats tore up my quads!! Ouch!! But it was after everything else, so it’s to be expected, I guess.
